Eye Make Up Tips

Eye makeup needs more skill than the rest of the face, as eyes are often the focus when we look at a person. Here are some tips to make it easier for you:

  1. Eyeliner is meant to add depth to eyes and give definition to lash line. To do so, hold the eyelid skin taut with fingertips of one hand and draw as fine a line as you can very close to the lash line with the other hand. Your hands should be steady for the purpose.
  2. For the soft smoky look, smudge the edge of the line with the smear end of the eyeliner pencil.
  3. For added natural beauty look, extend a very fine line to the innermost part of the upper lid.

  4. Lining the lower lashes add the dramatic effect to your looks. You can do so by adding tiny dots to lash roots and a fine line on the outer half of the lower lash line.
  5. Liquid eyeliners give more glamorous look but require more skill too.
  6. Use slate, blue, grey and plum eye shadows for brown eyes, pink, salmon, mauve and brownish pink for green eyes and brown, camel and taupe shades for blue eyes.
  7. Curling lashes open up your eyes. Do so by squeezing them with a lash curler from lash line to three fourth way toward tips.
  8. Stick to dark colored mascaras such as navy blue or plum for they look more natural.

  9. Apply two coats of mascara, sweeping the wand from roots to ends. Wiggle the wand a little as you move upwards to detach the lashes and make them stand out.

10 ways for healthy and young looking hands

Without our hands to create beautiful things, express our feelings, and get things done, we'd be lost. Here, 10 ways to pamper yours so they stay healthy and young-looking.

(1) Wear sunscreen:- Hands incur sun damage just like faces do. Don't forget to apply SPF daily.

(2) Exfoliate:- Use a grainy scrub on backs of hands twice a week to reveal glowing skin.

(3) Keep cuticles neat:- Cuticles function as barriers to bacteria and fungus, but they can often overgrow. Use a wooden or metal cuticle pusher after a shower to keep them in line (and you've heard it before: Don't cut!).

(4) Release tension:- Most of us hold tension in our necks and shoulders, but we can also carry the stress of the day in our hands. Give yours a daily self-massage to keep them tension-free.

(5) Share facial treatments:- Vitamin C, retinol, and alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids benefit the skin on our hands. Apply a bit of treatment whenever you use it on your face.

(6) Seal cuticle tears:- Tiny hangnails and bitten edges can catch on almost anything, turning into deep tears and possibly leading to infection. Keep them covered by applying a liquid bandage product (try the new one from Band-Aid) as soon as tears develop.

(7) Keep nails short:- Long talons tend to look garish, and invite breaks that can be painful. File nails to a quarter-inch above your fingertips.

(8] Give nails breathing room:- Experts suggest you take a one-week break from polish every month.

(9) Tap, tap, tap:- Believe it or not, tapping your fingernails on a hard surface stimulates nail health and growth. So drum away!

(10) Get a manicure:- Sure, doing your own nails is economical and practical, but a professional manicure every two or three months is a welcome bit of pampering. What's more, pros can deal with tough problems like calluses and flaking cuticles better than you can at home.

Nail care means the care of your fingernails and toenails. Poor nail care may lead to many nail problems. You should keep your nails clean and dry and cut to a length that helps keep bacteria and infectious organisms from collecting under the nails. Many authorities recommend that you cut your nails straight across with slight rounding at the tips. You should keep your nails free of snags and avoid nail-biting. Lips Make UP

Shape your lips using lip liner and be proud of your sensuous soft lips that make you appear younger at all ages. Lip makeup tips that are quite handy and useful yet perform miracles have been enlisted here:

For long lasting lip color, apply sheer layer of foundation on lips, dust powder on them and then color them. This also helps lipstick not to change its color on dark lips.

Choose a lip liner close to lipstick color to define the shape of lips.

To make your lips look thicker, make the outline just outside your natural lip line while for thinner lip look, place the outline just inside the natural lip line.

Now fill the defined shape with lipstick using a brush and blend the color well with the outline until the latter is not noticeable.

Lipsticks can be glossy, matte, creamy or frost ones. Choose the one that suits you and do not make the skin on lip look dried and chipped.

A sheer tinted gloss look can also be achieved by sucking on the Popsicle of desired shade!

Apply two coats of lipstick for longer durability. After the first coat, press the lips on a tissue paper and then apply the other coat.

Outlining of the lips prevents lip color bleeding.

Lip-gloss can be applied on lipstick or used alone for a nude look.

Gloss makes lips appear fuller, so women with thicker lips should avoid using it.
